Market signals & monitoring
A continuous watch on markets and portfolios, delivered as alerts and digests.
Market signals & monitoring is the product that never sleeps. It runs market, asset, and portfolio insights continuously, personalized by each customer's profile, and surfaces what changed and why, the moment it matters. Insights answer a question a customer asks. Monitoring answers the ones they didn't think to ask yet.
What it watches
Monitoring combines a customer's private data with public market data:
The portfolio: holdings, performance, and allocation drift.
The market: prices and performance across asset classes, tracked indices, commodities, crypto, FX, government bond yields, and macro indicators.
Clarity: the events, catalysts, and causal chains moving any of the above.
You choose, per customer or segment, which of these a monitor may draw on.
Signals and digests
Monitoring delivers in two shapes:
Signals are event-driven. A signal fires when something crosses a line you define: a price threshold, a volatility spike, an allocation drift, or a Clarity catalyst hitting a held name. It is delivered as an alert, the moment it happens.
Digests are scheduled. A digest is a regular summary that explains performance and the key market moves in plain language.
Daily
Short updates on relevant market or portfolio changes
Weekly
Performance summaries and key market movements
Monthly
Deeper performance reviews with trend analysis
Quarterly
Long-term perspective, strategy alignment, and outlook
Because every signal and digest is grounded in Clarity, each claim traces back to a source.
How a signal is formed
Monitoring runs the same insight engine continuously, on a cycle rather than only when asked:
Evaluate. On each cycle, re-read the watched market and portfolio data against the conditions you've set.
Detect. Register a signal when a condition is met: a price threshold crossed, volatility spiking, an allocation drifting, or a Clarity catalyst hitting a held name.
Explain. Compose a grounded account of what changed and why, citing the evidence behind it.
Review and deliver. Apply the optional quality gate, then deliver as an alert or roll the change into the next scheduled digest.
Quality
When the optional quality gate is enabled, a digest is sent only after it passes a review for factual accuracy, tone, and readability, with each score backed by evidence citations. Failing drafts are regenerated up to a configured limit before the best acceptable result is delivered and stored in history.
What you can customize
Customization happens at the monitor level, keeping output consistent and compliant:
Sections & focus: portfolio updates, performance explanations, market context, asset analysis, or personalized news.
Triggers: time-based (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) or event-based (thresholds, volatility, allocation changes, news catalysts).
Level of detail: high-level summaries or detailed breakdowns.
Language & tone: aligned with your brand and customer segment.
Delivery: in-app, email, or your own systems via webhooks.
Analytics
A monitoring dashboard shows delivery and reach per channel, engagement (opens, reads, follow-up questions), and which topics and formats resonate. It is aggregated and filterable by type, channel, and time period, so you can tune frequency, depth, and focus.
Integrate
Trigger and retrieve monitoring output from your backend, and subscribe to webhooks to drive your own notifications when a signal fires or a digest is ready. See the SDK reference and API reference.
